Cyndia Sieden has received the acclaim of audiences in London, Salzburg, Paris, Tokyo, Sydney, New York, and Los Angeles for her performances in opera and in concert. She moves between the Baroque, Classical and Contemporary repertoire with extraordinary accomplishment and considerable acclaim. She first became known as a preeminent interpreter of Mozart and Strauss, but has most recently been acclaimed for the high-flying role of Ariel in Thomas Ades’s The Tempest, which premiered at the Royal Opera House in 2005, and as Berg’s Lulu at the Metropolitan Opera.
