Conductor Anne Manson is the Music Director and principal conductor of the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra, with whom she maintains a regular series of performances and tours with artists including Evelyn Glennie, Isabel Bayrakdarian and Measha Brueggergosman. She is distinguished by her dynamic podium presence, stylistic versatility, and ability to draw audiences into the inner world of the composer. A reputation for excellence in the central German repertory, combined with a passionate advocacy of music of the present, has led to invitations to leading orchestras and opera companies worldwide. Recent and upcoming appearances include the Swedish Chamber Orchestra, the Orchestra of Extremadura (Spain), a Carnegie Hall appearance with the American Composers Orchestra, and acclaimed productions for Canadian Opera, Portland Opera, Minnesota Opera and New York City Opera.
